After upgrading to Windows 8, the I.E. went to hiding, so I retrieved and pin it to task bar. Now, after I open it, it closes right away when I try to go onto a bookmark. The error message says "Internet explorer has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

Solved Internet Explorer not showing pinned sites or favorites
Hello Guys,
When I use the Internet Explorer Metro app and click on the address bar I can see frequent sites but pinned sites and favorites are missing. I have a preview release still installed in a virtual machine and I can see pinned sites on that but not on this proper 64 bit purchased full install copy of Windows 8.
I have posted a screen shot below.

Internet Explorer dissappeared after update
This on my netbook with W8...
After installed some updates now desktop Internet Explorer has disappeared. I still have the metro one, but, due to my netbook resolution I cannot run it.
Now I got a error after booting saying "The screen resolution is too low for Browser Choice to run" and I cannot uninstall KB976002 (browser choice) as the uninstall button won't appear.

Missing Favorites
Somewhat new at all this, so please be nice. I was successful in listing all web favorites using desktop and they all indeed appeared in the Metro version and all was well for about a month. Got tired of seeing the frequent list in the Metro so followed a tip I thought would help. Went to start screen, clicked IE tile, clicked settings, clicked delete browsing history. It worked - to a point....

How do I associate an email program to the snipping tool
How do I go about associating an email program to the snipping tool in Windows 8. When I try to send the snip via email I get the message that an email program is not associated with it. I could use a detailed description. Not as good as I used to be doing this since the stroke.
I had no problems sending a snip using windows 7. I did not have to associate an email program to it.

Solved Do you want to rename "Firefox.lnk(2)" to "Firefox.lnk(3)"
I have a number of items pinned to the taskbar.
It would appear that some of these are duplicates of some invisible items which I cannot track down.
Displaying the properties of these items shows the item name followed by (2).
Any attempt to change the name back to the original gets: Do you want to rename "Firefox.lnk(2)" to "Firefox.lnk(3)".
Not a train smash, just puzzling and annoying.

Hotmail logon to Outlook.com vs. MS or live email address

Reopen last session greyed out
I am using Windows 8 with IE10 and for some weird and wonderful reason, the "reopen last session" is greyed out. I saw on the Windows 7 forum that there was a download fix for that but didn't dare to take that on for Windows 8.

Kerberos authentication issue
I have a java application which uses Kerberos authentication for login. Through IE 10 Kerberos authentication is successful only if the user has local admin privilege and the IE 10 should be run as administrator. Solved cannot run flash installer or firefox setup
I am running Windows 8 on an HP laptop.
I have downloaded flash 11 and Firefox 18. When I try to run either the flash installer or the FF setup file from the download folder on my computer, nothing happens The files will not open.
I disabled my virus software in case that was causing a conflict but that didn't help

IE Metro and order of favorites
Hi,
Does anyone know how to change the order of the favorites in IE Metro? They are not in the same order that they are in the desktop version, and I don't see any means of changing their order in metro. Even the pinned sites don't seem to appear in the same order that I have them on the start menu.
